Disclaimer: Although extremely disappointed by losing another National Championship, we are not fair weather fans. Consider this post as an exercise in healing.

Most of you know that we are big Oklahoma Sooner fans. We were very excited for Josie to experience her first game (she went to one, but technically she wasn't born yet).

Josie had on her Big XII champion onsie:

The whole family was there:

She even woke up for most of the game:

Sadly, our Oklahoma Sooners did not pull out a victory (AGAIN!). But we still love them:

We'll be better than people think next year. All indications are that 9 starters will return on defense, including the entire front 7. I personally think Bradford will be back, as will all the running backs, Broyles at WR, Trent Williams will come back to man one tackle spot, a couple other backups have gotten minutes on the o-line, and we had a guy transfer from LSU last year (started on LSU's o-line as a freshman) who will play. Who knows, we might get another crack at St. Timothy Tebow.

Oh, boy....was I a mess after that game. It's good to remember that life must go on and there are more important things (really?) than a lost football game. Though it would have been really nice to win. Your sweet little Josie is most definitely Sooner born and Sooner bred. Sorry her first real-life game-watching experience was a loss. At least she won't remember it :)
