7 months

Isn't it crazy? She's 7 months old today. My favorite part is watching her figure out new things. Last night she was waving at me. It was PDQ (pretty darn cute).

She's also pushing up to her hands and knees. She hasn't figured out what to do up there just yet, but I think crawling is around the corner.

Last night she started to pull up on the ottoman by herself. It was the first time she's ever attempted it with no one around. It was unsuccessful and she bumped her head pretty bad :(

She's just a doll. I'll get some video up soon. For now, here is a cute picture.

Watermelon

Last weekend we went over for pizza on the grill at our friends house. It was a very innovative way to "bake" pizza in the summer time--on a pizza stone on the grill. It was delicious and we had a lot of fun. We all also enjoyed some tasty watermelon, including Jocelyn who loved the whole experience.

Hot Hot Hot!

It's just hot around here. There is no other way to describe it. I think the high today was over 100 degrees.

Jocelyn still loves going outside. She doesn't seem to mind the heat.

She goes out every day with Grandma in the morning to feed the fish in the pond. Every afternoon when I get to my mom's house to pick up the baby she's outside under the tree waiting. We go out in the evening to take in the breeze. She loves to just sit outside. If you give her a little tub of water she'll splash around in it.

I'll have to take some swimming pics soon. She LOVES to swim.

Enjoying the summer....even in the extreme heat!

The 4th of July

Jocelyn had a wonderful first 4th of July. Every year we meet the Blake's downtown at Veterans Park for some delicious food, music and fun.

Here is our little family at the park together.


It's a pretty big event here in Tulsa. There are tons of people that show up. Jocelyn really is interested in other people and liked watching all of the children running around. She's still too little to run around, but she liked hanging out outside none the less.


Alex got to play football with his dad, brothers and nephews.



Jocelyn also really liked hanging out with her cousins.



And with her Daddy.



One of Jocelyn's favorite parts was the marching band. She smiled and laughed the whole time we were over there.



Once the fireworks started she sat quietly on my lap. She watched them all without making a sound. She didn't really smile but she didn't really act afraid. I'm not sure what she thought of them. By the end of the evening it was past her bedtime. Here we are all tuckered out by the end of the evening.

Why is it that Jocelyn will stick paper, toys, clothes, and pens in her mouth but if I give her a cracker all she does is smash it into pieces in the high chair and then throw those little pieces to the ground?
