I'm trying to be more creative in thinking of activities to do with Josie. There seemed to be a little extra time last week, we didn't have quite as much to do. So...we built a fort!

I used the mantle, couches, dining room chairs and blankets. At first, Josie didn't like it. She kept whining, pointing at the blankets that I was hanging and signing "all done". She does this when she wants you to stop doing something. I ignored it and when I finished I got into the fort. It took a little coaxing and she joined me. We just played with toys and read books. Then she started walking underneath the blankets so that they would graze her head. She thought that was very fun. Eventually all of the walking in and out and messing with the blankets the fort collapsed. It was a fun hour while it lasted though.

March Madness 2010

Josie has changed a lot since last year's March Madness, but we're as into it as ever. Here is our bracket and pool. I concede every year to let Alex put it up on our living room wall.
This year, we've gone high tech. Josie is watching the games on the phone.
She watches her bracket and counts her points. She's very competitive.
Sometimes she gets a little confused and Daddy helps her.
She (and I) was VERY upset when Kansas loss to Northern Iowa. It ruined her (and my) whole bracket.
Maybe she'll have better luck next year.

Spring is Coming

I am very excited about Spring. So is Josie. She normally LOVES going outside, but she wasn't a big fan of the cold and snow.

But it's been warming up little by little. This week We made it to the Just Between Friends Sale to buy some new Spring clothes. We tried going to the park but it was a little too cold. But finally today it was warm enough we could really enjoy the nice weather.

Have you ever tried to capture video of your children? I don't know about yours, but mine takes SEVERAL tries to get blog-worthy video. On one such take I got this, which I just HAD to share with you.
