1st Day of Pre-School

She's been asking to go to school since she could talk.

When we see a school bus she tells me all about how she wants to ride the bus to her classroom.

Last week she told me her first day of school "will be perfect. It will be amazing".

And today it was here! The first day of school.

Ok, so I did cry a little bit when we got back in the car. I was proud I held it together until then. Her sweet brother was also sad to leave her and kept whining "Dedee" over and over again.

She was so cute walking out of the building to the car. She seemed very happy and told me (in order of importance) how 1) she bumped heads with another little kid 2)she loves chocolate milk and the cupcake they had for snack and 3) she played with magic playdoh.

I got a few more details out of her about circle time and something about stars before she proclaimed "I'm tired. I'll tell you about it later".

NYC Trip

I know this blog is supposed to be all about "The babies".

Hundreds of studies show that happily married parents produce more emotionally stable, healthy, well-rounded and successful children. So, in a round about sort of way this is about the kids.

But it's mostly about our trip to NEW YORK CITY for our 5 year anniversary. We had so much fun. We saw all of the sites, Times Square, Macy's, Empire State Building, 9/11 Memorial, 5th Ave. Shopping. We went to a Yankee game, museums and ate ALL KINDS of super yummy food. Here are a few highlights:

Times Square

Our kind of shopping...

Sampling some authentic NY cheesecake

Yankee's WIN!

Chelsea Market Food Tour--Baby Octopus anyone?

9/11 Memorial
Natural History Museum

Magnolia Bakery (Remember "Lazy Sunday"?)

On top of the Empire State Building

Here is many more happily married years
We did miss the kiddos tremendously, however they were having fun with Aunt Jessica
